Choreographer to the stars and semi-MTV celeb Darrin Henson's Darrin's Dance Grooves will please any wannabe pop idol. For here you can fulfil your Top of the Pops dreams and get step-by-step instruction into the moves of the stars. From Britney Spears' "Crazy", NSYNC's "Bye, Bye, Baby" and Jordan Knight's "Give It To You", Darrin breaks down each dance on the count of eight. He takes things slowly but certainly not simply, and these routines require practise before you will be able to wow your friends with a perfect rendition of Britney's moves. Darrin is no ordinary choreographer: growing up in the Bronx he learnt his skill through street jazz and watching the B-boys of the early 1980s. Here he gives snippets of his dance ethos, such as never mixing styles because they express different emotions, and explains how he picks up on the vibe of a song rather than the words (which explains the lack of poignant hand gestures!). Although this is not an exercise video as such, there is a nice warm-up section to begin with and once you have the dance moves down you should work up a sweat whenever you dance it out with Darrin. -Nikki Disney.
