Review Teletubbies - Favourite Things And Other Stories [1997] / 2 Entertain Video:Those roly-poly creatures playfully romp with their beloved toys in this video outing for the Teletubbies, Favourite Things. Tinky Winky has his bag, Dipsy his splotched hat, Laa-Laa her ball and, of course, littlest Po her scooter. The opening of the video has each Teletubby in turn lose his or her favourite item, and then go off in search of it. Each Tubby is then featured in a segment: Laa-Laa chasing her ball, Tinky Winky singing into his bag, Dipsy dancing with his hat and Po riding in circles on her scooter. Two videos-one of playing in a kiddie pool and the other of fixing up a bike for a ride-and a short animation are also included. Of all the Teletubbies' videos, this is most likely to be a child's favourite-and the most likely to grate on a grownup's nerves. The constant repetition of chasing games will have children hopping about, but parents will find little of the charm of Here Come the Teletubbies or Nursery Rhymes. Yet, as slow as some of the moments may be, the Tubbies are as adorable as ever and still worthy of a "big hug!" -Jenny Brown.

Review Baby Mozart - Music Festival / Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainm:Baby Mozart is from the award-winning infant-developmental media company Baby Einstein, whose goal and philosophy is the satisfaction of a child's curiosity through sight and sound. In the main Theatre section of this disc you'll find lots of simple shapes, primary colours and favourite toys passing across the screen. Unlike the simpler earlier releases, this is focused on the works of Mozart, and so just like the Bach and Beethoven releases all the images are choreographed around the chosen pieces of music. This release was named Video of the Year by Child and Parent magazine and is a wonderful expansion of the company's original ideas. It's a slight advancement in expectation of your child from the more basic initial releases but has a Video Tutorial to help the parent understand how it all works. On the DVD: Baby Mozart is the name of the feature itself, but from the Main Menu you can enter a Concert Hall to replay the musical cues from the main show. Split into three sections (Little Ears, Playtime or Bedtime) you can mix and match from the main feature playlist (for example: Magic Flute, Concerto for Flute and Harp in C and movements from Piano Sonatas in C and D). There's also a Resources section with the aforementioned Video Tutorial and a Toy Chest crediting all the toys used, just in case a certain someone wants one of their own. -Paul Tonks.

A slight error in judgement has led the gang in the 100 Acre Wood into Spring in "Groundpiglet Day". Rabbit's rushing about defeats the true purpose of the holidays in "A Winnie the Pooh Thanksgiving". Rabbit is also the centre of "Find Her, Keep Her" when he adopts a wayward bird. Even though this is a new collection of cartoons, the 70-minute tape keeps close to the spirit of the 1960s Pooh classics (unlike previous Pooh cartoons). A new song from Disney songmasters the Sherman brothers is sung (along with their famous title number), and Paul Winchell returns as the unmistakable voice of Tigger.
