Review Bear In The Big Blue House - Happy And Healthy / Uca Catalogue:Bear in the Big Blue House, Happy and Healthy is a cheerful and lively 48-minute video packed with songs, stories and information for two to seven year olds. Produced by The Jim Henson Company, this two-episode video features Disney Channel's favourite seven foot Bear and his colourful muppet friends. The first episode "The Big Blue House Call" attempts to tackle children's fear of the doctor. When Doc Hogg pays a visit, Bear explains to his friends the importance of check-ups and with a song he coaxes Ojo the frightened bear cub from under the bedclothes for his vaccination. The second show "Picture of Health" emphasises that rest is as important to good health as a balanced diet and exercise. Bear successfully advises exhausted mouse Tutter that he will feel stronger and refreshed if he takes a short sleep. Youngsters will quickly warm to Bear who is friendly, confident, curious and cuddly. He encourages a participatory mood with his young audience by moving very close to the camera and talking directly to them. He even claims he can smell his healthy young viewers! Songs play an important part in setting the pace. Each episode starts with the cast belting out "Welcome to the Blue House" and finishes with the striking image of Bear on the balcony and the moon character Luna singing a harmonious duet. Review Fimbles : Fimbly Bimbly... Finding Is Fun! / 2 Entertain Video:When The Fimbles arrived on kids TV in 2002, it unfairly drew comparison with The Teletubbies. Beyond the furry man-sized suits, there's actually a lot more going for the show. It's the perfect successor in many ways, featuring just a few more characters and situations to appeal to children beginning to form and follow words. Within each episode, something is found by one of the three Fimbles (Fimbo, Florrie or baby Pom) who populate the Purple Meadow. Near the Tinkling Tree, they experience the excitement (Fimbling Feeling) of discovering something new and eagerly share it with their friends. This allows for the soothing tones of Roly Mo to relax everyone with a story tailored to the found object. More often than not, the group is joined by the fluffy Mummy and egg family of Bessie and Ribble, whose wise observations always lead to a safety warning or two. The show's real star is left to last: the irrepressible Rockit the frog bounces all over the place causing chaos and hilarity simultaneously. Review Bob The Builder - Knights Of Can-A-Lot [1999] / Hit Entertainment:The Knights of Can-a-Lot is a 45-minute never-televised adventure starring Bob the Builder, otherwise dubbed "Sir Fix-a-Lot". When Bob's dad, also called Bob, arrives for an unexpected visit, a simple case of mistaken identity lands Bob junior and his crew a big job restoring a crumbling castle-under the leadership of Bob senior. Problem is, Bob's dad isn't quite up to the role of foreman, nor are Bob and Wendy comfortable taking orders from him. Naturally, the construction crew steps up to the challenge, assuming names like "Sir Roll-a-Lot" and "Lady Dump-a-Lot" and learning all about medieval castles and legends as they work. When Bob and his Dad get locked in the dungeon, they have a heart-to-heart discussion that reveals the importance of honesty and teamwork. After the restoration is complete, Bob's mum joins her family, the construction crew and the historical society for a celebratory medieval pageant.
